Sculpture and general product Questions
Metal
All the sculptures are made by our team of artists in Kenya and Zimbabwe using recycled metals including oil drums, car parts and other white goods.
Stone
All stone sculptures are made from a form of serpentine which is a very hardwearing stone group which includes green opal and springstone.
Metal
The process begins with a sketched design and then a wire framework is created. Selected pieces of metal are then welded to the frame to build on the sculpture. The completed sculptures are hand finished in the UK. Natural products are enhanced with a clear lacquer. Sculptures can also be powder coated in a finish of your choice; supplement applies.
Stone
The stone is dug from underground and then cut and shaped using hammer, chisels, rasps, etc. Next, sandpaper is used to smooth the surface before polishing. Once this process is complete, the sculpture is heated, and a polish is applied to bring out the colour within the stone.
Metal & Stone
Metal and stone sculptures can be situated either indoors or outdoors, although some finishes may require more regular maintenance if placed outside.

If placed indoors, stone sculptures will only need dusting. Stone sculptures will need to be re-waxed over time to maintain a polished finish. For more information, please visit our Care page.
